Chris Beattie   Contact details 021 552 6338 082 610 0101   I have been hiking most of my life and joined Cumhike in 1996 and leading hikes for the past 5 years. During this period I have been serving on the committee and elected Chairperson in 2005. I enjoy all levels of hikes ranging from the moderately easy to the more challenging with a bit of rock scrambling thrown in for good measure. However the camaraderie and friendship of my fellow hikers is what makes the difference while enjoying the magnificent environment in which we hike. Some of my favourite hikes are Elands River, Perdekop and Tiergat. In addition I have been involved in the organizational and support aspect of the clubs involvement in the Boland 90 and Greyton challenges which is very rewarding. I do look forward to meeting many more of the club members on future hikes. Chris
